Breaking Free from Limiting Beliefs About Money: A Guide to Financial Empowerment through youtube automation

A guide on overcoming limiting beliefs around money and youtube automation

Money is the root of all evil

Money is a subject that evokes a wide range of emotions and beliefs. For many, it can be a source of stress, anxiety, and self-doubt.

This is often rooted in limiting beliefs about money that hold us back from achieving financial success and freedom.

These beliefs, such as "money is the root of all evil" or "I will never be able to afford that," can shape our financial behaviors and outcomes in profound ways.

Identifying and overcoming these limiting beliefs is crucial to transforming our relationship with money and achieving our financial goals.

But what actually is a limiting belief? and why do they matter?

From my own experience and what i hear a lot of friends, family and society in general,

Many think making money is a bad thing,

And it only brings negativity to “wanting to make a lot of money”

yet, most people spend over 40 hours a week working for a boss to earn a paycheck they can live their lives with.

i truly believe, that if you can change your mindset about money, making money and becoming independent.

only can increase your quality of life, allows you to experience more enjoyable things, and reduce your stress and anxiety levels.

“A limiting belief is a state of mind or belief about yourself that restricts you in some way. These beliefs are often false accusations you make about yourself that can cause a number of negative results.”

A limiting belief is a thought or conviction that restricts a person in some way. These beliefs are often formed based on

  • past experiences

  • societal conditioning

  • learned behaviors

and they shape how individuals perceive themselves and the world around them.

Limiting beliefs can pertain to various aspects of life, including personal abilities, relationships, and finances. They are typically negative in nature and can prevent individuals from reaching their full potential.

Characteristics of Limiting Beliefs:

  1. Self-Imposed Boundaries: Limiting beliefs act as mental barriers that constrain one's actions and decisions. For example, believing "I am not good at math" can prevent someone from pursuing careers or opportunities that involve mathematical skills.

  2. Negative and Restrictive: These beliefs often have a negative tone and focus on what can't be done, rather than what is possible. Common examples include "I will never be successful" or "I can't change my circumstances."

  3. Subconscious Influence: Limiting beliefs often operate below the level of conscious awareness. People may not realize that these beliefs are shaping their behavior and decisions.

  4. Rooted in Fear and Doubt: They are frequently based on fears of failure, rejection, or inadequacy. For instance, "I will never find love" might stem from a fear of rejection.

  5. Generalized Statements: Limiting beliefs often make broad generalizations about abilities or outcomes, such as "All men are untrustworthy" or "I always fail at new things."

Impact of Limiting Beliefs:

These beliefs can impact your life in different ways. maybe you are not even aware of some of those.

I hope to educate you on these matters in this letter.

some of the impacts might be:

  • Hinder Personal Growth: Limiting beliefs can stifle personal development by discouraging individuals from trying new things or taking risks.

  • Reduce Opportunities: They can lead to missed opportunities as individuals avoid situations that challenge their beliefs.

  • Affect Self-Esteem: Persistent limiting beliefs can erode self-esteem and confidence, making it difficult for individuals to believe in their abilities.

  • Influence Behavior: These beliefs can shape behaviors in ways that reinforce the limiting belief, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. For instance, someone who believes they are bad at networking may avoid networking events, thereby limiting their professional growth.

If you feel like you often experience any of these feelings, or have these character traits. i advice you to keep on reading and educating yourself on these limiting beliefs.

This letter is mostly about limiting beliefs around money, and the making of it.

But there is a number of other limiting beliefs,

more on that later,

For now, it is important you understand how to identify these beliefs you have,

So that we can work on changing them.

How to identify limiting beliefs

1. Reflect on your behavior.

Evaluating your behavior can help show you what causes your limiting beliefs. Think back to when someone hurt your feelings and you needed to speak up for yourself.

What was your reaction? Did you speak up, or did you walk away from the situation without letting the person know how you felt? Situations like this can show you that you might have a limiting belief that you should avoid conflict at all costs, but that negatively impacts your relationships.

2. Write down your beliefs.

Try writing down your general and detailed beliefs — the personal ones, the vague ones, and the ones that you feel very strongly about. You can categorize them by sections like wealth, family, relationships, and health. Without thinking too hard about which beliefs you write down, it gives you the chance to look them over once you’re done. This way, you can identify which ones are your own limiting beliefs.

here are some about making money:

  • I’m just not good with money

  • Rich people are greedy or unethical

  • i dont deserve t make al ot of money

  • i will never be able to afford that

  • money is the root of all evil.

3. Make a list of things that challenge you.

There could be things that routinely challenge you in life that you avoid that could be your limiting beliefs, so ask yourself, “What limiting beliefs are you holding on to?”

Write down your challenges and look for any patterns; this will offer you a chance to think of self-improvement strategies for specific areas of your life.

Have you never landed your dream job and simply chalked it up to having poor luck? That could be a sign that you have a limiting belief that your bad luck is the thing that gets in the way of your success.

Sometimes we know we have problems to overcome, but it can be hard to pinpoint them. A coach can give you honest feedback and help you identify what it is that’s holding you back, and put you on track to start that career.

Getting a good coach for me was the number one hack to skyrocketign my income and clarity in life.

What if you do not fix these limiting beliefs about money?

Imagine a life where your limiting beliefs about money have free rein.

You constantly find yourself struggling to make ends meet,

feeling trapped in a cycle of debt, or unable to pursue your dreams because you believe financial success is out of reach.

These beliefs can lead to poor financial decisions,

missed opportunities,

and a pervasive sense of lack and limitation.

And the worse….

they literally keep you poor,

you cannot invest in your own health,

you make poor food choices because it is cheaper,

you don’t take vitamins or supplements because it is “too expensive”

you cannot practice your hobby’s because investing in them “adds up”

And worst of all (for me hehe), you cannot travel the world and experience what life really is about.

Because unfortunately yes, living life and doing fun things DOES cost money.

Over time, this can affect your mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life.

The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way.

To summarize, here are the 7 things that will happen If you keep your limiting beliefs on money.

1. Stunted Financial Growth

Those who believe they don't deserve to make a lot of money may undercharge for their work, leading to lower income and financial instability.

2. Poor Financial Decisions

Believing "I'm just not good with money" can lead to avoiding financial planning, budgeting, and saving. This often results in financial mismanagement and debt.

3. Reduced Quality of Life

Beliefs that restrict spending or investing in personal growth can lead to a lack of enriching experiences, such as travel, education, or pursuing hobbies and passions.

4. Hindered Personal Development

Believing that financial success is unattainable can lead to a lack of motivation to improve skills, seek promotions, or pursue ambitious goals.

5. Negative Impact on Relationships

People who feel ashamed or anxious about their financial situation may withdraw from social activities or avoid discussing money-related topics with friends and family.

6. Perpetuation of the Poverty Cycle

Limiting beliefs about money can be passed down from one generation to the next, perpetuating a cycle of financial struggle and poverty.

7. Inhibited Wealth Creation

Fear of loss or a belief that investments are too risky can prevent people from engaging in wealth-building activities like investing in stocks, real estate, or retirement accounts.

Basically, having these beliefs is a terrible thing.

And once you are aware of them,

you can fix them.

trust me,

Money and wanting to make money is not a bad thing,

the most fun things in life are done with money,

Like surfing, going to a yoga class, and flying across the world to experience new adventures.

My limiting beliefs around money and how i overcame them

Early 2020 my dropshipping business that was making me $70,000 a month collapsed from one week on the other because my paypal, strip, shopify, and facebook ads account got shut down.

i was getting hundreds of chargebacks from angry clients a day who didn’t receive the products they had paid for (after i paid for the products and shipped them).

And my suppliers were saying the products were shipped and it was “all fine”

it was quite early in my entrepreneurial journey and even though i was making money,

i was very scared of spending it and was scared to lose it all again (hehe funny how that is exactly hwat happened right?)

I was making poor decisions, i was scared to invest in myself by getting a mentor who knew the tricks of the trade, and i thought everything was “too expensive”

and just by that scarcity mindset i lacked the skill and knowledge to knowing what to do in a situation like that to save myself,

i could have easily saved myself and my business at that time if i had just invested in a mentor who told me what to do,

but i was foolish, hard headed and greedy thinking i knew how to do it all myself.

After that disaster.

i promised myself to never be scared to invest in myself or a mentor ever again.

and so when i started my youtube automation career shortly afte that,

and a little over a year after that my youtube automation coaching career.

the first thing i would always do is invet in every course i could find from a legit source,

and where possible invest in live mentoring from people who walk the walk and achieve what i wanted to achieve.

and also had something to show for that.

The for me wildest part was when i started to see some success in my coaching business.

i got a few clients to show what i was doing worked.

i came across a coach who could help me scale up that business.

first, i was reluctant in investing into his program.

it was $12,000 LOL!

i hadn’t even made that money yet with my business and honestly, i didn’t even have to money on my bank account at the time.

so i took the leap,

i got on a 6 month payment plan.

I literally invested in something that i couldn’t even afford yet,

But when you put yourself in a position where you HAVE to make it work,

magic can happen.

and there i was making over double that investment amount in a single month, just a few months after getting started with that program.

That is when i started to realize how important it is to overcome these money beliefs.

How to overcome Limiting beliefs on money.

Like me, you can transform your financial reality by addressing your limiting beliefs about money.

Here are some actionable steps to help you get started:

(!) pull out a pen and paper and write this down, trust me it works better. Do not just read this and go with it, you might as well stop reading if you will not implement these steps.

1. Identify Your Limiting Beliefs: Reflect on your thoughts and feelings about money. Write down any negative beliefs you have, such as "I'm not good with money" or "rich people are greedy."

2. Challenge These Beliefs: Ask yourself if these beliefs are really true. Look for evidence to the contrary and consider alternative perspectives.

3. Reframe Your Beliefs: Replace your limiting beliefs with empowering ones. For example, change "I'll never be able to afford that" to "I am capable of creating financial abundance."

4. Take Positive Action: Set specific financial goals and take steps towards achieving them. This could include creating a budget, saving for an emergency fund, or seeking additional income sources.

5. Seek Support: Surround yourself with positive influences who encourage your financial growth. Consider working with a financial advisor or coach to help you stay on track.

This is not a one-time thing, it’s a “practice” you have to call out your money affirmations daily or at least write them down.

you have to remind yourself that making money IS in fact a good thing,
